Nexsan is pleased to announce that the latest models of its E-Series P and BEAST P RAID storage products have been qualified as Veeam Ready. Primary backup storage solutions qualify as a Veeam Ready Repository by meeting or exceeding Veeam’s functional and performance tests for backup and restore operations. Veeam Ready qualifies and tests storage solutions that customers use as a target for applications protected by Veeam Backup & Replication.
This qualification continues the expansion of Nexsan’s third party compatibility approvals and the recent enhancements to integration tools such as Nexsan’s RAID Storage for VMware. The Nexsan RAID Storage Plugin for VMware vCenter enables monitoring, configuration, provisioning, and maintenance of Nexsan Storage Systems, and integrates Nexsan Storage with VMware vSphere. The plugin is also intended to enable vCenter administrators to understand relationships between VMware infrastructure – ESXi hosts and clusters, datastores and virtual machines – and Nexsan Storage Systems, Nexsan Volumes, and Storage Pools, particularly where these systems are handled by different teams.
Nexsan also provides free Nexsan Storage Tools that provide enhanced functionality for deploying and managing Nexsan RAID systems in Windows. Nexsan Storage Tools can be installed either directly onto Windows-based servers, or onto a Windows based workstation anywhere on the LAN and support multipathing, management of storage volumes and snapshots, native support for management using Windows Server Manager and System Center integration (SCOM and SCVMM)
