Cyber Resilience Becomes a Primary General Purpose Backup Appliance Selection Criterion
Organizations have historically evaluated network-attached storage (NAS) appliances used as general purpose backup appliances (GPBAs) based on four criteria. These include capacity, performance, price, and ease of deployment and management. These criteria remain important, but the growing threat of ransomware has changed how organizations evaluate backup storage. They must now consider whether their backup appliances can protect recovery data when attackers compromise their IT infrastructure.
