Private cloud storage and snowboarding have more in common than you’d think.

Melding tech with her sport, one of the world’s leading snowboard cross athletes and three-time Olympian Zoe Gillings-Brier integrates Nexsan’s Transporter private cloud into her daily routine as both a business owner and professional athlete to access and share data with key team members.

For someone who’s always on the road (or up in the air),Transporter keeps her connected securely to all her critical files from her team of nutritionists, trainers, and travel documents as she jets to top ski destinations of the world. This media-savvy athlete also uploads her own photos and videos to get instant feedback from coaches or to use as promotional assets for the press.

Now Nexsan is a technology partner with Gillings-Brier for the first ever “Mitsubishi Ski & Snowboard Cross GBX National Trials” series with Olympic hopeful ski & snowboard athletes run and managed by Gillings-Brier, her coach and GBX performance manager Dan Brier, and the head coaches for Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross.

Nexsan provided the GBX trials with two Transporter private cloud appliances, allowing the team to securely share confidential data, images, and large media files across the team. With two devices the team can backup all of their data as well as share it securely in real time.

Transporter keeps the training staff connected with the athletes for sharing data relating to the trials to access and share anytime, across any device. Supporting up to 30 organization users and unlimited guest users on a single appliance, each organizer, trainer, or competitor will have access to access and upload data to shared folders, while the organizer staff admins have comprehensive rights to add or remove users from the group, set permissions for access to certain folders, or restrict athletes to read-only access for important documents that shouldn’t be modified.

Nexsan wishes good luck to all the athletes!
