NetApp Insight Vegas a Success, Now We’re Ready for Berlin!

NETAPP INSIGHT (2)This year NetApp Insight’s Vegas show featured over 5,000 customers, employees, VARs, exhibitors, and partners, and Connected Data was thrilled to be among the select few companies featured in the inaugural Start-Up Alley exhibit. Our Transporter private cloud appliance suited the conference theme of “Building Data Fabric Together” by adding file sync and share and mobile access to data in the NetApp storage infrastructure. Our three days meeting with delegates at the show were invaluable and we totally concur with the resounding feedback of “best show yet”- even as first-time attendees we can’t disagree!

IMG_3894Exhibiting in the Start-Up Alley was a great opportunity to talk with NetApp customers and partners about how Connected Data’s business solutions fit in with the NetApp ecosystem. Transporter captured our visitors’ attention when we discussed how it adds mobile access to existing enterprise NAS systems by syncing shared files between appliances, but keeping data on premise for control, security, and privacy. Delegates we spoke with were excited about how they can add cloud storage features to their enterprise NAS systems without the risk of having sensitive company information in the public cloud.

Deeper technical conversations posed thought-provoking questions to our team, and gave us insights on new use cases, applications, and feature additions to bring continual innovation to our solutions. We got great feedback on some of the business productivity, security and compliance challenges different industries are facing and how our solutions can help to address these.

With the first Vegas show under our belt, Connected Data is now looking forward to NetApp Insight Berlin to hear about the challenges faced by EMEA businesses. Coming into the EU with the topics of file sharing, BYOD, and secure mobile access, we are looking forward to hearing from partners and customers dealing with a different set of regulations when it comes to control, location, and security of data.

We’ll be at our spot in the Start-Up Alley again from November 16 through the 19, so please stop by for a chat with one of our experts; we’d welcome your feedback.
