Nexsan Shows Off Its Brood At COMDEX

ATAbaby Twins, ATABeast Featured at Coming-Out Party; ATAboy2X, SATAblade Previewed

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., November 17, 2003 - Nexsan Technologies, the leader in innovative storage solutions, will present for the first time the latest additions to the company's growing product family - the ATAbabyT Twins and the ATABeastT - in Booth 7357 at Comdex Las Vegas November 17-20.

The new ATAbaby Twins bundle continues Nexsan's tradition of combining technical innovation and correct-cost pricing to deliver a best-of-breed storage solution to SMB customers. With up to 2.4 TB of storage in a mirrored RAID-5 configuration, the solution provides intelligent RAID protection for valuable data in a compact package. The ATAbaby Twins support high-speed disk-to-disk backup operations, eliminating the complexity, unreliability and management overhead inherent in tape-based backup. Nexsan's ATAbaby Twins offer the flexibility to deploy the system as a local D2D backup device or at a remote site to support long-distance backup or remote data replication over IP or DSL connections.

ATABeast is an enterprise-class RAID array built around the latest award-winning ATA technology from Nexsan and high-speed ATA disk drives. It is OS independent, needing no special software drivers or server-based management applications. Every component is redundant with individual components online hot swappable. ATABeast provides the highest density per square inch - 10.5 drives per U, 3.15 TB per U (using 300 GB drives).

Nexsan will also preview two of its up-and-coming storage offerings at Comdex. The ATAboy2XT is a drop-in upgrade to existing ATAboy2T or ATABeast enclosures that increases performance by a factor of 2.5 times. SATAbladeT is an eight-drive RAID subsystem with hot-swappable Serial ATA disk drives that uses only 1U of rack space. Both preview items are expected to be available to customers in early 2004.

In addition to the company's latest arrivals, the Nexsan booth will also feature a display of high-performance Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 drives. Deskstar 7K250's high data transfer rate, leading seek time of 8.5 ms and 8 MB buffer option for super-fast access to data. With capacity up to 250 GB and rotational speed of 7200 RPM, the Deskstar 7K250 extends Hitachi's long-standing tradition of ATA performance and capacity leadership.
