Nexsan Agrees to Partnership Deal With Penta Labs
Targets Worldwide Broadcast Storage Market WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Nov. 6 -- Nexsan Technologies today announced that it has reached a partnership agreement with Penta Laboratories, bringing its full line of InifiniSANT RAID storage and D2D backup solutions to Penta's global customer base with a focus on broadcasting market opportunities.
The agreement gives Nexsan a strong presence in the broadcast market, leveraging Penta Labs' 30 years of expertise in servicing broadcast customers and the company's strong sales channel.
``The broadcast market presents a tremendous opportunity for Nexsan,'' said Diamond Lauffin, Nexsan's Senior Executive Vice President. ``This relationship with Penta Labs gives us a strong partner with an unmatched combination of expertise in the broadcast market and a great track record of commitment to their global sales channel.''
The deal with Nexsan is part of Penta Labs' strategy to expand its product line into storage technology and beyond its traditional market of power tubes. The move leverages Penta Labs' reputation as a premier supplier of CRTs and other broadcast products with an opportunity to broaden its product line with a technology that is in high demand for broadcast applications.
``Our objective was to expand and diversify our product line, and broadcasting is an excellent market for RAID technology,'' said Steve Sanett, Director of New Business Development at Penta Labs. ``We recognize that our success is directly related to the performance of our sales channel, and this relationship with Nexsan will increase their profits through selling additional items.''
Penta Labs will handle Nexsan's complete InfiniSAN product line. Nexsan's InfiniSAN line of disk-based storage solutions delivers the latest in form and function. All InfiniSAN products provide enterprise-class features and functionality in low profile, cost correct, expandable packages. With either Fibre or SCSI host connectivity, the InfiniSAN provides unlimited flexibility in a disk-based solution. Unquestioned reliability results from the elimination of all single points of failure, while Nexsan's Extreme Intelligence Software NexScanT provides sophisticated centralized management and monitoring of all InfiniSAN subsystems.
Nexsan's new InfiniSANT 4 series design supports one or two RAID controllers in the cabinet, with a unique option of configuring a disaster tolerant solution of two single controller subsystems linked via three optical links, two of which are redundant.
The InfiniSAN ATAboyT provides unlimited flexibility and features in an advanced ATA disk-based solution. With either Fibre or SCSI host connectivity the InfiniSAN D2D backup is an exciting new innovation that replaces the need for traditional tape backup. Since data is transferred in real time to a local or remote backup device, backup windows become a thing of the past. Significantly faster than traditional backup solutions, D2D provides all the features of traditional backup but at a lower cost per megabyte for small- to enterprise-class environments. This scalable, low profile, rackmount solution employs high-availability disk storage starting at 500GB.
