International Consortium for SAN Management
August 16, 2000 -- Nexsan Technologies today announced that it had joined FibreAlliance, an open, international consortium driving the development and implementation of standards for managing heterogeneous storage area networks (SANs). There are a total of fifty companies participating in this exciting project which will make it easier and more cost-effective for customers to design, deploy, and operate SANs.
Sponsored by EMC Corporation, FibreAlliance's first project is a management MIB for infrastructure devices such as Fibre Channel switches and hubs. Nexsan's InfiniSAN family is expected to include this capability in future product releases.
