  • Philip Black
    Chief Executive Officer

    Storage and telecoms industry veteran Philip Black brings more than 30 years of experience as a CEO to Nexsan. Prior to Nexsan, Philip was President and CEO of LightSand Communications, a market leader in the development of SAN connectivity products, and before that was a Managing Partner at IN_Fusion, a storage industry consulting firm. He has also served as CEO of Box Hill / Dot Hill (NYSE HIL), a storage systems manufacturer that he took public in '97, and as founder and CEO of Tekelec (NASDQ TKLC), a telecoms equipment provider that he took public in '86. Additionally, Philip served as Co-chair of SNIA's ILM and Data Protection Initiatives.

  • Thomas Gosnell
    CEO, Nexsan Canada

    Tom Gosnell offers Nexsan his own brand of drive, innovation, and entrepreneurship in storage technology. Tom was previously Founder and CEO of AESign Evertrust before the company was acquired by Nexsan in 2005, bringing with him the Assureon line of storage products. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of CS&T and Vice President of Product Development for Speedware Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise software solutions and applications development.

  • Eugene Spies
    Chief Financial Officer

    Gene Spies comes from an exceptional financial background. Prior to Nexsan, Gene served as a Vice President of Finance with the Networking Division of Alcatel, a global telecommunications provider. Before his tenure there, he was a Senior Manager at KPMG, a leading independent registered public accounting firm.

  • Gary Watson
    Chief Technology Officer

    Gary Watson helps to keep Nexsan on the cutting edge of innovation. He co-founded Nexsan and has served as Chief Technology Officer since 2000. Prior to that, Gary founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer of Nexsan Technologies Ltd., the company's UK subsidiary. Gary was an Engineering Manager with Trimm Technologies, Europe, a leading provider of data storage subsystems.

  • Walter X Palhetas
    Executive Vice President, AAP, WW Marketing and Sales Operations

    Information technology veteran Walter X Palhetas brings over 21 years of executive management background to Nexsan with extensive experience in global sales, business development, marketing and sales operations. Over the last two years at Nexsan, Walter has served as the Senior Vice President of Americas where he has been responsible for and instrumental in providing leadership as it relates to the America’s reseller community, worldwide OEM relationships and strategic account efforts. Prior to Nexsan, Walter has held senior management positions at Pillar Data Systems, SUN Microsystems, QLogic Corporation, Troika Networks Inc and StorageTek.

  • Andy Hill
    Executive Vice President, EMEA

    Since joining Nexsan in 2006, Andy Hill’s sales expertise in European markets has driven significant growth throughout EMEA. Prior to 2006, Andy held senior sales positions with data storage vendors and resellers alike, giving him a unique and valuable perspective on Nexsan’s channel driven business. His extensive background includes driving SunGard Availability Services’s storage line, holding significant shareholder positions in a leading independent UK storage reseller, and serving as District Sales Manager at VERITAS (acquired by Symantec), Sequent (acquired by IBM) and Siemens.

  • Gregg Pugmire
    Executive Vice President, Business Development

    Gregg Pugmire brings over 22 years of business development experience to Nexsan. Gregg joined Nexsan in 2004 from LightSand Communications where he was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to LightSand, Gregg was the Vice President of Business Development at SS8 Networks and Business Area Director at TRW. At Nexsan, Gregg has led the development of channel business in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He also led the product introduction and OEM business development of Assureon, Nexsan’s secure data archiving system. Currently, Gregg’s leadership is accelerating the adoption of Nexsan’s new Unified Storage Products. Gregg holds a BSEE and an MSEE from Brigham Young University.

  • Cameron Presley
    Executive Vice President, Global Operations

    Cameron Presley brings extensive supply chain and operations leadership to Nexsan, joining in November 2010 from DataDirect Networks where he was Vice President of Operations. Prior to DataDirect Networks, Cameron was the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Emulex Corporation (NYSE: ELX) in Costa Mesa, CA where he led significant supply chain initiatives for global outsourcing. Prior to Emulex, Cameron worked in the Electronics Manufacturing Services Industry holding positions such as Director of Engineering for Suntron Corporation.
