Certifications Manager

Location: Escondido, CA USA

Job Description:

The Certification Manager is tasked with testing and certifying Nexsan product with leading hardware and software vendors as well as setting the standards for production and test equipment used at Nexsan. The Certification manager has both strong project management skills (managing all certifications, renewals, QBRs, and technical roadmaps) and robust technical certification experience, with the ability to run and manage all of the certification programs at Nexsan, external to Nexsan, and at 3rd party certification labs

Duties:

  • Maintain the highest quality standard of Nexsan and 3rd party hardware and software by designing and executing test and benchmark plans
  • Manage all the hardware and software certifications, evaluations, renewals, QBRs, and technical roadmaps from a project management and technical perspective
  • Manage the technical partners channel, including Technical Alliance Partners, OEMs, software and hardware vendors; updating the channel on changes in product and certifications and conversely, update Nexsan of pertinent changes
  • Publish Nexsan Technologies HCL (Hardware Certification List), compatibility matrix, and hardware and software revision interoperability matrix on a regular schedule
  • Maintain the performance matrix for drive and product testing
  • Manage the Nexsan Operations technical labs, and the Ops Engineering intranet portal
  • Assist in new product certification and deployment
  • Responsible for maintaining, improving, and operating functional tests and test equipment

Requirements:

Minimum BS degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum five years experience in at least two of the following: project management, RAID and software systems, certification management, manufacturing, and test engineering.

Experience with technical certification programs and labs, excellent project management and organizational skills, knowledge of Various Operating Systems, RAID, fibre, and hardware and software technologies, deep understanding of hard drive technologies, familiar with the software and hardware solutions in the storage and services industry, good understanding of database structure and use.

  • Experience with Microsoft certification programs
  • Knowledge of programming methodologies and SDLC
  • VMware or other virtualization experience
  • High level of SAS, SATA, Fibre and Ethernet knowledge
  • Automation tools and scripting

Travel: 15%

Minimum years of experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in the same or similar role
