Nexsan is now looking for qualified candidates for the following position:

Graphic Artist/Webmaster

This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Marketing and works as part of the overall marketing team. The position is full time and located at Nexsan's headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist the SVP, Marketing in the creation of innovative design concepts that positively impact company presence online, as well as improve the brand of all outbound marketing collateral
  • Skillfully produce web pages, banners, applications and other marketing creative assets using HTML, CSS, Flash, JavaScript, PHP and SQL
  • Weekly production updates to marketing and ad sales properties and pages on the Nexsan's web site using HTML, PHP, and Flash
  • Coordinate the design and placement of all media advertising
  • Conceptual development and design of HTML emails, landing pages/micro sites
  • Prepare and assemble media kits for distribution

  • Ability to code HTML (PHP and SQL a big plus)

  • Working knowledge of LAMP Web architecure
  • Knowledge of Web usability standards
  • Flash (including Actionscript) is a big plus

Minimum years of experience:

2 years - 3 years Web production and design. Ad Agency experience a plus.

Certifications Manager

The Certification manager is half project manager (managing all the hardware and software certifications, renewals, QBRs, and technical roadmaps) and half technical certification manager with the ability to run or manage all of the certification programs in Nexsan, external to Nexsan, and 3rd party certification labs.

  • Work with technical partners, OEMs, software and hardware vendors
  • Manage all the hardware and software certifications, renewals, QBRs, and technical roadmaps from a project management and technical perspective
  • Manage the Application Support intranet portal
  • Assist in new product certification and deployment
  • Manage Nexsan Technologies HCL (Hardware Certification List), compatibility matrix, and hardware and software revision interoperability matrix
  • Manage the performance matrix for drive and product testing

Requirements

  • BS degree in technical discipline or higher or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years experience in the project management, certification management, or testing fields
  • Experience with technical certification programs and labs
  • Experience with Microsoft certification programs a plus
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Various Operating Systems, RAID, fibre, and hardware and software technologies.
  • Deep understanding of hard drive technologies.
  • Familiar with the software and hardware solutions in the storage and services industry
  • Windows programming a plus.
  • Good understanding of database structure and use
  • High level of SAS, SATA, Fibre and Ethernet a plus.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting a plus
  • Vmware or other virtualization solution a plus

Application support Field engineer / Professional services

The field engineer / professional services position requires RAID experience, software and hardware experience including Windows, Linux, Solaris; Fibre SAN and Ethernet networking Experience in Vmware and other virtualization solutions a plus.
This position will include travel (at least 50% plus office / lab work.)

  • Work with sales, product management, and support management
  • Technical expertise on pre-sales support, post-sales support and customer facing upgrades, services, and training
  • On-site installation of hardware and software systems in a wide variety of networks and Operating Systems.
  • Remote and on-site support of hardware and software
  • New product certification and deployment
  • Manage customer issues

Requirements

  • BS degree in technical discipline or higher or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum seven years experience in pre-sales, professional services, system administration, and RAID and software systems
  • Must be able to identify problems and failures; upgrade, install, and configure systems
  • High level operating system knowledge on Windows, Linux, *nix, and Novell platforms
  • Knowledge of RAID technologies
  • Medium to high knowledge of server architecture
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and diagnostics
  • Experience with Microsoft Directory Service
  • Experience with IIS and Windows 2003 server
  • Knowledge of Multipathing software and solutions
  • Experience with Vmware and other virtualization solutions a plus
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certification is a plus
  • Sun certified professional a plus
  • An understanding of Ethernet, Fibre, SCSI, SAS, SATA and ISCSI technology
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools a plus
  • Up to and can exceed 50% travel is possible
