Dr. Geoff Barrall, Board Member

Dr. Geoff Barrall has brought his tremendous insight and storage industry experience to the Nexsan board. Dr. Barrall currently serves as CEO of Data Robotics, maker of the world’s first storage robot, a company he founded in 2005. Dr. Barrall has founded five companies including BlueArc Corporation, a supplier of enterprise Network Attached Storage (NAS), as well as several IT and consulting services firms. With more than a dozen storage-related patents to his credit, Dr. Barrall brings rich technology expertise and deep hands-on executive-level operational experience to Nexsan. In addition to his roles at Data Robotics and BlueArc, he served on the board of directors of Tacit Networks and was an executive consultant to the senior team at Brocade Communications. His storage experience also includes sitting on the boards of advisors for Data Domain and NeoPath.

Philip Black, Board Member

Storage and telecom industry veteran Philip Black brings more than 25 years of experience as a CEO and board member to Nexsan. Prior to Nexsan, Philip was President and CEO of LightSand Communications, a market leader in the development of SAN connectivity products. Prior to that, he was a Managing Partner at IN_Fusion, a storage industry consulting firm. He has also served as CEO of Box Hill / Dot Hill (NYSE HIL), a storage systems manufacturer he took public in ’97, and founder and CEO of Tekelec (NASDQ TKLC), a telecom equipment provider he took public in ’86.

William J. Harding, Board Member

William J. Harding has served as a Managing Director of VantagePoint Venture Partners since October 2007. Prior to joining VantagePoint, Mr. Harding was a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley & Co., President of Morgan Stanley Venture Partners and a Managing Member of several venture capital funds affiliated with Morgan Stanley where he was employed from 1994 through 2007. Mr. Harding also serves as a director of Internap Network Service Corporation. Mr. Harding also served as an officer in the Military Intelligence Branch of the United States Army Reserve.

Philip B. Livingston, Board Member

Philip Livingston has brought his remarkably diverse leadership background to Nexsan’s board. Philip has previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TouchTunes Music Corp., a leading provider of touch screen digital juke boxes. Before that, Philip served as Chief Financial Officer of Duff & Phelps LLP, a leading provider of independent financial advisory and valuation services and as Vice Chairman of Approva Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise controls management software. Philip was Chief Financial Officer and board member of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., a media and entertainment company, and he currently serves as a director of Cott Corporation and QLT Inc. He is a certified public accountant and is on the Board of Examiners for the Uniform CPA Examination of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Richard McGinn, Co-Chairman of the Board

Richard McGinn adds his many years of entrepreneurial experience to Nexsan’s board of directors. He has been a General Partner for RRE Ventures, a leading investment advisory and venture capital firm, since 2001. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lucent Technologies. Richard served as President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Via Systems, Inc. He previously held several executive positions at AT&T Computer Systems and AT&T’s Data Systems Group. Richard also serves as a director of the American Express Company.

Arthur L. Money, Board Member

Arthur Money has served as a director of Nexsan since 2007. He currently serves as President of ALM Consulting. He has also served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (ASD (C31)) and as the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer. Arthur currently serves as a board member for Intelli-Check, Inc., a leading provider of identity management solutions, and Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a leading provider of information technology infrastructure services.

Geoff Mott, Board Member

Geoff Mott has added his broad leadership and market experience to Nexsan’s board of directors since 2003. He is a Managing Director of VantagePoint Venture Partners, a leading venture capital firm focusing on technology companies. Prior to joining VantagePoint, Geoff was Managing Partner of The McKenna Group, a global strategy consulting firm, and earlier in his career built a business strategy practice for technology firms at Lochridge & Co.

Michael F. Price, Board Member

Michael F. Price earned his bachelor’s degree in 1973 from the University of Oklahoma. In 1999 the University of Oklahoma honored him with a Doctor of Humane Letter. Michael F. Price was Chairman of the Board of Franklin Mutual Advisers and Franklin Mutual Series Fund. He had been associated with both entities and their predecessor organizations since 1975. At that time the adviser was known as Heine Securities Corp and the fund was Mutual Shares Fund. Michael was Vice President of the fund from 1975 until 1986. From 1986 until November 1, 1998 he was CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of the adviser and the fund, which came to be known as Mutual Series Fund. Presently, Michael is the President of The Price Family Foundation, Inc.; Managing Partner of MFP Investors LLC and Director of Liquidnet Holdings. He also serves on Boards for The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Johns Hopkins Medicine.

George Weiss, Co-Chairman of the Board

George Weiss has served as a member and Chairman of Nexsan’s board since 2001. George founded Beechtree Capital LLC, a private venture capital and business advisory firm, in 1993 and is currently its chairman and chief executive officer. George previously served as a senior partner at the law firm Rubin Baum, LLP.
